President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of several infrastructure projects on Hulhudheli Island in Dhaalu Atoll on Monday. The projects, which include a water supply network, an upgraded harbour, a powerhouse, and the FENAKA Office, were completed during President Solih’s ongoing visit to the atoll.

The harbour was constructed by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and featured a 277-metre outer sea wall, a 432-metre quay wall, and other harbour-related works. The island’s water supply network was developed by SAS E. Construction Pvt. Ltd. The new FENAKA powerhouse and office on Hulhudheli Island are equipped with modern facilities and have a power generation capacity of 1,070 Kilowatts.

Under President Solih’s leadership, the administration has made significant progress towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
