President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated a new powerhouse, FENAKA Office, water supply network, and football ground on Muraidhoo Island in Haa Alifu Atoll on Wednesday, marking the completion of these projects during his ongoing visit to the atoll.

The newly inaugurated powerhouse and FENAKA Office on Muraidhoo Island boast modern facilities and can accommodate up to 30 staff members. Strategically located away from residential areas, the facility has the capacity to generate 620 Kilowatts of power.

The contract for the construction of the water supply network was awarded to Malé Water and Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. (MWSC). Upon completion of the project, 129 households had been successfully connected to the network.

The football ground is a modern facility equipped with contemporary amenities and layered with turf. It was developed to promote youth and sports and encourage healthy lifestyles. The administration is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and prioritises the development of sports infrastructure.

Under the leadership of President Solih, the administration has made significant progress in achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the betterment of the Maldivian people.
