President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed attended the float procession held in commemoration of the country’s 59th Independence Day on Thursday. The President and First Lady observed the festivities near the Izzuddin Jetty in Malé.
This year’s procession, featuring 15 floats from eight government offices, institutions, and state-owned enterprises (SOEs), was organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The float procession was attended by Cabinet ministers, government officials, and members of the public, who joined the President and First Lady.
