President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih visited Sh. Foakaidhoo Island in the North Miladhunmadulu Atoll on Sunday to inaugurate several development projects that were carried out as part of his presidential pledges. The projects included the development of the water and sewerage network, the upgrading of the harbour, the expansion of the football grounds, and the extension of the healthcare centre building.
Three ceremonies were held today on Foakaidhoo Island to mark the completion of the projects. The water and sewerage networks are now operational, and the harbour was upgraded by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The administration also completed the healthcare centre expansion project, and President Solih marked the completion of a solar panel installation project under the ongoing solar photovoltaic (PV) system project.
President Solih's administration has made significant progress in ensuring equitable development across all inhabited islands in the country. This includes improving the living standards of citizens and enabling them to live dignified lives.
