Vice President Faisal Naseem called on parents and guardians on Tuesday to teach their children chores and religious duties during school holidays, citing that these activities can help children develop essential life skills and values, including responsibility, time management, and teamwork, and provide them with a sense of community, purpose, and morality. He made these remarks while delivering a speech at the Mohamed Qasim Preschool graduation ceremony for 2022-2023, held at Huravee School in Hulhumalé.
Urging parents and guardians to identify their children's strengths, the Vice President called on them to help children develop those strengths. He also said that children should be trained in skills and that parents and teachers share the responsibility of developing children into skilled individuals. He also called on parents and guardians to ensure their children become productive citizens, contributing to national progress.
During the ceremony, the Vice President distributed scrolls to graduates from UKG1 to UKG8. Mohamed Qasim Preschool was established on October 24, 2021, and currently has 462 students, including 36 with special needs. In the academic year 2022-2023, the school saw 198 students graduate.
