First Lady Fazna Ahmed called on all parents and guardians on Thursday to be good role models for their children in all aspects of life and promote kindness, honesty, and responsibility. She made this appeal in her remarks at the graduation ceremony of Kangaroo Kids International Preschool 2022-2023.
At a ceremony held in Dharubaaruge, First Lady Fazna Ahmed discussed several significant areas where parents and guardians could serve as role models for their children. She highlighted interpersonal relations, health-related practices, adherence to traffic regulations, and prioritising environmental protection and conservation as examples. Emphasising that parents and guardians play a crucial role in instilling positive values and behaviours in children, the First Lady urged parents and guardians to be mindful of the messages they are sending to their children and to set a good example.
First Lady Fazna Ahmed emphasised the importance of all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and other adults, in setting good examples for the positive development of children's personalities. She highlighted the significance of seemingly small actions, such as providing nutritious meals, promoting cleanliness and environmental protection, conserving energy, and teaching good manners and daily routines.
Highlighting that inclusive education is essential for ensuring that all children have access to quality education, regardless of their abilities, the First Lady also requested the cooperation of schools and parents in promoting inclusive education.
The First Lady presented trophies and certificates to the Kangaroo Kids International Preschool graduates at the ceremony. A total of 243 students graduated from the school this year. More than 1,000 students are currently enrolled at Kangaroo Kids International Preschool, which is run by Islanders Education Pvt. Ltd.
