President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih departed on Monday on an official visit to Ukulhas Island in the Alifu Alifu Atoll. He is accompanied by a delegation of senior officials.
As part of the visit, President Solih will participate in the national-level celebrations to mark World Environment Day 2023. This includes the "Beat Plastic Pollution" festival scheduled for Monday afternoon and the official ceremony held in the evening to commemorate the occasion.
The President would also hold discussions with the Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members to gather valuable input regarding the challenges and concerns faced by the residential community. These interactions are crucial in shaping the President's developmental agenda and ensuring that it addresses the needs and aspirations of the people.
