First Lady Fazna Ahmed inaugurated the "Maldivian Patissier x Ell & Eves" outlet at SME Hub on Tuesday, in line with the administration's initiatives to promote and strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"Maldivian Patissier x Ell & Eves" specialises in a wide selection of pastries. Following the opening ceremony, the First Lady took the opportunity to visit several other stalls located within the SME Hub, engaging in conversations with the entrepreneurs and inquiring about their respective businesses.

The outlet is operated by Ms Aminath Hameed, an acclaimed pastry chef and recipient of the Best Maldivian Pastry Chef award at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) 2022. She is joined by her sister, Ms Soozan Hameed, a pastry chef and the owner of Ell & Eves.

The administration led by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has consistently advocated for the growth and development of SMEs since its inception. Over the past four and a half years, the administration has undertaken various initiatives to support, strengthen, and foster these enterprises.

With an unwavering dedication to fostering their progress, the administration remains steadfast in advancing SMEs and facilitating their continued growth. The introduction of the pioneering SME Hub, serving as the inaugural shopping mall exclusively catering to MSMEs, is a testament to the administration's steadfast commitment to nurturing opportunities for their expansion.
