President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih expressed the administration's commitment to developing F. Magoodhoo Island's airport within his current term. The President shared this assurance while meeting with the island's residential community during a meeting held on Saturday.
First Lady Fazna Ahmed, Cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, senior government officials, and heads of state-owned enterprises joined the President at the meeting.
President Solih expressed gratitude to the residents during the meeting, acknowledging the warm hospitality extended to the visiting delegation. He emphasised that the primary objective of the meeting was to seek the residents' perspectives and ideas for advancing the island's development.
The residents of Magoodhoo Island conveyed their significant needs and concerns to the President, highlighting the importance of road development and improvements in the health and educational sectors. Emphasising the importance of seeking advice and consulting with the residents of the islands, the President stated that he would engage with relevant stakeholders to address the issues raised by the community of Magoodhoo Island.
As part of the ongoing visit to Faafu Atoll, the President and First Lady will visit F. Bilehfahi and F. Feeali Islands on Sunday.
