The new Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Maldives, H.E. Dr Eliška Žigová, presented her credentials to H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Monday.
 
At the meeting, the President Solih congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of her term and highlighted that this year marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He spoke further on enhancing the friendly relations and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
 
Speaking with the Ambassador, the President noted that the Maldives is open to foreign investments in numerous sectors and invited Czech investors to explore investment opportunities in the Maldives. The President and the Ambassador discussed enhancing cooperation in various fields such as climate change, tourism, health, environment, and higher education.
 
The President and the Ambassador ended the meeting hoping to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.
