Vice President Faisal Naseem met on Wednesday with the council members of Fiyoari Island in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. The discussions at the meeting at the President's Office centred on the administration-led developmental initiatives and pressing concerns of the island's residents.
At the meeting, the council members shared with the Vice President the challenges facing the school following a recent fire, which forced it to switch to single-session schooling. They also briefed the Vice President about difficulties in operating the healthcare centre and the need to expedite developmental projects, including the water and sewerage network project.
Speaking with the council members, the Vice President reiterated the administration's commitment to ensuring the equitable development of all islands. He also assured them that the administration would find amicable solutions to the concerns raised at the meeting.
