Vice President Faisal Naseem stated on Sunday that the administration strongly believes that the country's future depends on the skills and abilities of the leaders we build today, and it is diligently working towards this end. He made these remarks while speaking at the closing ceremony of the National HR Convention and Expo 2023. The Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) hosted the two-day conference.
In his address, the Vice President stressed the high priority accorded to the development of human capital and skilled and productive generations of youth by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and his administration. He added that the administration is investing in training, higher education, and other programmes to enhance people's technical and vocational skills as part of its efforts to build leaders who would take over the reins of leading the country in the future.
The Vice President also highlighted the significance of every team member, noting that the administration believes in ensuring inclusive opportunities for all, especially women. He also noted the efforts by the administration to promote and protect women's rights and empower them.
Addressing the participants, the Vice President asked them to make the best use of what they learned at the conference and urged them to adhere to their duties and responsibilities and respect one another.
The National HR Conference and Expo 2023 featured the participation of HR experts, emerging leaders, and thought leaders from various organisations. This year's conference was themed around "Creating Value and Leading Organisations."
At the closing ceremony, the Vice President also presented plaques of appreciation to the speakers and parties who supported hosting the conference.
