The non-resident Ambassador of Poland, H.E. Adam Burakowski, paid his farewell call on H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Tuesday. The meeting was held at the President’s Office. The President conveyed greetings and good wishes to Ambassador Burakowski and expressed gratitude for the remarkable services rendered under his leadership as the ambassador.
At the meeting, President Solih and Ambassador Burakowski expressed interest in working closely to discuss matters of mutual interest, particularly to enhance and strengthen the existing cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels. They further discussed enhancing cooperation in tourism, trade, civil aviation, human resource development, and climate change.
Ambassador Burakowski also expressed confidence in further strengthening the Maldives-Poland relationship. President Solih commended the ambassador for his dedication to further enhancing the bilateral relationship between the two nations. The President also wished the ambassador success in all of his future endeavours.
The Maldives and Poland established diplomatic relations on October 1, 1984.
