Vice President Faisal Naseem stated on Saturday that the administration remains committed to improving the people's conditions and quality of life. He made these remarks while speaking at the function at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE) to mark the 3rd anniversary of the Road Development Corporation Ltd. (RDC).
Addressing the function, the Vice President applauded the efforts of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in implementing the administration's developmental pledges. He also urged coordinated development efforts and emphasised the importance of collaboration in order to achieve national progress.
The Vice President stated that RDC is compassionate towards its employees and stressed its role in providing opportunities for women to succeed in various fields. He also highlighted RDC's numerous contributions to societal progress.
At tonight's function, RDC launched its cooperative education programme, "Binaavehi," and handed a symbolic gift to the Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives (BVISM). It also gave various awards to its most outstanding staff. At the ceremony, the Vice President presented the "Umar Zahir Award" to its recipient. A commemorative plaque was also presented to the Vice President by the RDC.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih established RDC on June 9, 2019, and tasked the company with meeting reasonable road construction and maintenance needs under the administration's belief in providing essential services to its people.
