The council members also shared the most pertinent needs and concerns of the island's community, including addressing coastal protection, difficulties in utilising the harbour and the need for a new youth centre and road construction following the completion of the island's sewerage network project. They also noted space constraints at the council office.
The members of the WDC shared their concerns about the sale of agricultural produce through Agro Nat and budget constraints.
Speaking with the community leaders, President Solih briefed them about the administration's developmental agenda for the island. He also assured the administration's commitment to finding solutions for the concerns raised at the meeting.
