H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Wednesday night met with H.R.H Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The President and the Crown Prince spoke extensively on a wide range of topics, including strengthening bilateral relations and development cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed youth and sports, international cooperation, trade and investment, and the environment, specifically the topic of restoring reef systems.

They also emphasised the agreements that will be exchanged during the visit and committed to enhancing collaborative efforts. President Solih expressed gratitude to the government of Bahrain for the generous support provided to the Maldives throughout the years.

Before concluding the meeting, the President and the Crown Prince reaffirmed their shared commitment to work toward strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

This is the first time a Maldivian Head of State is making a State Visit to Bahrain.
