The Cabinet on Tuesday discussed the findings of a Cabinet subcommittee investigation into the disruption of an event held at the National Stadium. Deliberations about the investigative report compiled regarding the incident on June 21, 2022, were held at the cabinet meeting at the President’s Office this afternoon.
Deliberations at the meeting centred on the 39 recommendations in five areas proposed in the investigative report. They relate to strengthening policies governing security operations, resolving religious disharmony, organising and holding events, ensuring accountability of responsible parties, and identifying and addressing threats to national security.
Upon deliberations with his cabinet at the meeting, the President decided to instruct relevant stakeholders to initiate and implement the recommendations made in the investigative report.
