President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Monday attended the opening ceremony of the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship 2022.
At the ceremony held at the indoor hall of the Social Centre, President Solih met with the men’s and women’s national teams competing in the tournament and watched the doubles game between the Maldivian and Bangladeshi sides and the Maldives vs Sri Lanka doubles game.
The South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship 2022 is held in Malé City from May 9-11, 2022. Athletes from the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan compete in the championship.
