Local journalist and author Ahmed Saail Ali on Wednesday presented a book he wrote on mental health, "Edhuvas Geneveyne," to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The author presented his book to the President at the President’s Office.
President Solih commended Saail’s work and discussed the mental health situation in the Maldives. The President assured that the government was working on expanding the Mental Health Centre services provided in the Maldives.
During the meeting, Saail conferred to the President some of the difficulties and challenges a person struggling with mental health problems go through. He said that the aim of the book, which was based on his own experiences, was to encourage and guide people who suffer from similar issues to work on recovery.
