The President concludes his visit to Kaafu Atoll's Maafushi Island

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih returned to Malé on Tuesday evening after concluding his one-day trip to Maafushi Island in the Kaafu Atoll. During the visit, he attended a ceremony held to hand over the land extension and picnic island to the Maafushi Island Council.

There, President Solih inaugurated the new football stadium developed on the island and met with members of the Maafushi Island Council and the Women's Development Committee to discuss the island's needs and developmental goals. The President also visited Maafushi Prison and Maafushi Health Centre and met with the management and staff. He was joined by senior government officials on the visit.
