Vice President Faisal Naseem on Monday evening concluded his two-day trip to Fuvahmulah City and returned to Malé City.

During the visit, the Vice President officiated the signing of Fuvahmulah City's coastal protection project and inaugurated the project to develop a new mosque.

The MVR 300 million coastal protection project, contracted to M.T. Højgaard Maldives Pvt. Ltd., encompasses the construction of 2,650 metres of coastline protection wall. The MVR 11.9 million mosque project is funded by the government and would see the development of the mosque near the harbour in the Dhoodigan district. It would accommodate up to 500 people.

The Vice President was accompanied on the visit by cabinet ministers and senior government officials.
