H.E Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Wednesday evening, concluded his official three-day visit to the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Upon his arrival on Monday morning, H.E Dr A. K Abdul Momen, the Bangladeshi Foreign Minister, received the Vice President at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. The Vice President visited and toured several key institutions, including Bangabandhu Museum, the Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Centre (BKTTC) and the National Institute of Advanced Nursing Education & Research (NIANER), where he discussed partnerships in developing technical capacity in the Maldives, especially in the areas of healthcare and education.
During the trip, the Vice President met with Bangladeshi cabinet ministers, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Expatriate’s Welfare and Overseas Employment, H.E Imran Ahmad, H.E Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel, the Bangladeshi Minister of Youth and Sports and the Minister of Education, H.E Dr Dipu Moni. The Vice President accepted scholarships offers from Bangladeshi Institutions.
On Tuesday, the Vice President called on the President of Bangladesh, H.E Md. Abdul Hamid, at the Bangladeshi Presidential Palace, Bangabhaban and later met with Maldivian Students residing in the country.
On the final day of the Vice President's three-day official visit to Bangladesh, he paid a courtesy call on H.E Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Earlier, he met with H.E Zahid Maleque, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
The Vice President was accompanied on this trip by a delegation of cabinet ministers and high-ranking officials from the President’s Office and the government.
