Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated that schools play a crucial role in the development of a nation. He made this statement today during a meeting held with senior officials of Addu City Schools as part of his ongoing trip to Fuvahmulah and Addu cities. The meeting was held this afternoon at Addu High School.

The Vice President stressed the importance of educating and nurturing students. Senior officials from the schools who attended the meeting briefed the Vice President on the most pressing concerns facing their respective institutions. They highlighted the challenges faced in obtaining good teachers, as well as the lack of space and resources in their schools.

This morning, the Vice President also visited the Hithadhoo Police Station in Addu City and inquired regarding the ongoing at the station. They apprised the Vice President of the difficulties faced in conducting their duties, mentioning a lack of vehicles and infrastructure and requesting additional personnel. They also stated that the Commissioner of Police was working hard to remedy the problems.
