President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message to His Excellency Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, wishing him a speedy recovery following the news of him testing positive for Covid-19.
The President’s message reads as follows:
Excellency,
I read with concern that your Excellency has tested positive for Covid-19.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grant you a full and speedy recovery. Further, I reiterate our commitment to work alongside your Government towards the goal of overcoming this ongoing pandemic.
As your Excellency focuses on your health and recovery, I take this opportunity to emphasize that the Maldives and Pakistan will always remain good friends, and that we will always work together in a friendly spirit towards fulfilling our common goals.
