President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Uza Aminath Abdulla Zuhair as the President of the Employment Tribunal, and Uz Hassan Ibrahim as her deputy. Both are present members of the tribunal and assumed their new roles on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

Uza Aminath Abdulla Zuhair completed her Masters of Laws at Kingston University, United Kingdom. She has been serving as a member of the tribunal since March 25, 2019. She previously held the legal officer’s position at the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and as a legal consultant to the National Pay Commission.

Uz Hassan Ibrahim was appointed as a member of the tribunal on March 16, 2020. He holds a Masters of Manageement from the  Australian National University (ANU) and earlier served in the capacities of director-general at the Prosecutor General’s Office and director at CSC.
