Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with students of the Asian Academy of Aeronautics (AAA), Addu City, this evening at Seenu Gan Airport. In addition to the Vice President, the Minister of Finance, Ibrahim Ameer, the Minister of Health, Ahmed Naseem, Minister at the President's Office, Ali Shiyam, and Undersecretary at the President's Office, Dr Abdul Malik, joined the meeting.

The students detailed several pressing issues that they had in the course of their study at AAA, including being required to pay the school fees in United States Dollars and several concerns about the Academy's practices towards the students. The Vice President stated that the Government is closely monitoring the flying academy, and urged Minister Ameer to look into solutions for the student's predicament, including allowing students to pay their fees in local currency. Minister Ameer affirmed that he would look into easing the students' situation.

Prior to the conclusion of the meeting, the students extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Vice President and to the Government for taking the time to meet with them and listen to their concerns.
