President Mohamed Nasheed has ratified the First Amendment Bill to the Parliamentary Elections Act. Following ratification, the Law has been published in the official Gazette.
The amendment was made to the Article 20 of the Act and gives the Elections Commission the full authority to take measures to ensure voting secrecy.
