Vice President Faisal Naseem has held a Health Emergency Coordination Committee (HECC) meeting at Dharubaaruge this morning. Discussions during the meeting centred on the latest developments in the operations to contain Covid-19, focussing on the collective challenges faced by authorities. 

Stakeholders at the meeting raised concerns regarding the proper inspection of business establishments, acquiring necessary resources and compliance with the guidelines issued by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) during the reopening of the Maldives' borders for Tourism. Vice President Faisal Naseem directed the authorities towards steps to alleviate the raised concerns. 

Stressing that the President accords high precedence to improving the quality of education and human resource development in the country, the Vice President stated that the Covid-19 situation had been a crucial lesson in the value of better human resource management. Vice President Faisal Naseem also extended his best wishes to all teachers on the occasion of World Teachers' Day 2020.
