Vice President Faisal Naseem has today visited Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital and inquired about the services and operations of the hospital.

In his ongoing visit to North Maalhosmadulu Atoll Ungoofaaru, Vice President Faisal Naseem also visited patients and met with senior management and staff working at the hospital. During the meeting, the Vice President discussed developmental plans aimed to improve hospital services. He also inquired about issues relating to operational efficiency and services established at the hospital.

Hospital staff conveyed that the hospital needs more trained medical staff and also stressed on the difficulties faced by the lack of a proper mechanism in providing medicine. Vice President Faisal Naseem stated that the administration would take necessary action after discussing with relevant ministries to address the specific issues and concerns.

After concluding his visit to Ungoofaaru hospital, Vice President Faisal Naseem also met with people with special needs residing at Ungoofaaru island and inquired about their wellbeing. During the brief meeting, the Vice President also inquired about the challenges faced by them and after hearing the concerns raised by the individuals, the Vice President reassured that the government will work towards addressing the concerns and difficulties specific to persons with special needs.
