Chairman of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council Lord Jonathan Marland paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The call was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.
During his call, Lord Marland applauded the Maldives for rejoining the Commonwealth and offered support and cooperation to the Maldives in a multitude of areas including finance, trade and investments.
President Solih and Lord Marland also discussed avenues of cooperation in developing a blue economy.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih highlighted the close relations and support extended to the Maldives through the Commonwealth partnership and expressed renewed commitment in strengthening ties with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council.
