Following thorough discussions during the Cabinet meeting held on 11th February 2020 and under the extensive work carried out to earn further public trust and approval, the Government has initiated significant improvements to public services.
Spot audits were conducted for the first time ever by the President's Office to identify the challenges in maximising service efficiency and minimising difficulties faced by the persons using public services. In this regard, 54 government institutions were audited to determine the ease and effectiveness of front office and main counter services.
The results of the audit revealed further room for improvement with the implementation of technological projects. A detailed paper was shared with the Cabinet by the President's Office which included detailed recommendations for further improvement.
Relevant officials are currently working on the implementation of the new guidelines as per the Cabinet decision on the matter.
