President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has today met Cabinet Ministers and relevant Government Authorities regarding protecting the Maldivian public against the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) pandemic. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President's Office and was attended by all pertinent authorities.

The President and attendants discussed extensively on the latest updates concerning sustaining the safety and security of the Maldivian people in this time of global medical emergency. The President also urged further precautionary measures and reminded all present authorities that the greatest priority is the protection of Maldives' citizens living in the homeland and abroad.

At a Press Conference held earlier this morning, the Government announced that 7 Maldivians who were in Wuhan, China, during the outbreak has now been relocated to Delhi, India, where they will spend the duration of the quarantine before being returned home.
