Keiko Yanai, the Ambassador of Japan to the Maldives, has paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The call was held this morning at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, President Solih expressed his gratitude to the Japanese Government for the warm hospitality accorded to him and the First Lady during their recent visit to Japan to attend the enthronement ceremony of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Naruhito to the Chrysanthemum throne.
The President and the Ambassador further discussed avenues of further cooperation, highlighting on the areas of Human Resources Development, renewable energy technologies and commerce. The call concluded with President Solih and Ambassador Keiko expressing confidence in their efforts to enhance the ties and cooperation between the two countries.
