President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, following the passing away of his uncle, His Highness Sheikh Suhail bin Mubarak Al Ketbi.

The President’s message reads as follows:

“It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing away of Your Highness’ beloved uncle, His Highness Sheikh Suhail bin Mubarak Al Ketbi.

At this time of grief, the Government and the people of the Maldives join me in extending our sincere condolences to Your Highness, your family and the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates.

Surely to Allah we belong and surely to Him we shall return.”

His Highness Sheikh Suhail bin Mubarak Al Ketbi, 73, died in London, the United Kingdom, on Sunday after a long illness. He was laid to rest in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday
