President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the education policies of the government have been derived from consultation with teachers, students and parents. President Solih made the remarks at the ceremony held to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Kudafaree School of Noonu atoll.
“Every pupil has a vision and aspirations when they attend school, likewise the nation has aspirations of its pupils. It is to raise citizens who love the nation.” President Solih said.
Speaking at the event, President Solih said that given the number of opportunities available in the Maldives, he does not believe that students should end their studies at 12th grade, emphasizing that he is aware educational opportunities depends on the quality of life. President Solih said that the government is working towards resolving such issues and determined to provide better opportunities for students through reviewing policies.
President Solih advised all students to seek and better utilize all available opportunities at hand and become invaluable citizens.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President also highlighted the need for students to understand their strengths and to develop those skills to better serve the nation.
