Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the members of Rathafandhoo Island Council of South Huvadhu Atoll this afternoon at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, the Councillors discussed the priorities and concerns raised by the island’s residents, as well as various development projects the council members proposed for the benefit of their constituents.
Moreover, council members shed light on the most pertinent and urgent needs of residents of Rathafandhoo, including the need for shore protection revetment, upgrading healthcare facilities, infrastructural development needed for the Council Secretariat and the need for an ice plant.
The Vice President stated that the government would take necessary action after discussing with relevant line ministries and address the specific issues and concerns raised by members of the Rathafandhoo Island Council.
