President appoints new member to Anti-Corruption Commission

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed a new member to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The newly appointed member is Mr Mohamed Shakeel.

The President presented the letter of appointment to the Mr Shakeel at a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Tuesday morning.

Mr Shakeel had previously served as Internal Auditor at the Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun Plc ( Dhiraagu), and also as an Officer in Charge at the Financial Intelligence Unit of Maldives Monitory Authority (MMA). Mr Shakeel attained his Post Graduate Certificate in Computer Science at the Asia Pacific Insitute for Information Technology, in Srilanka.

Prior to being presented the letter of appointment, Mr Shakeel took the oath of membership of ACC. The oath was administered by Supreme Court Judge Hon. Uz. Abdulla Areef.
