His Excellency President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have attended a state banquet hosted tonight by the President of Seychelles, His Excellency Danny Faure, as honoured guests.
After welcoming remarks by President Faure, President Solih delivered remarks of his own that evoked the historical ties between our two countries and thanked the Seychellois government for their warm hospitality, which the Maldives hopes to reciprocate.
President Solih's remarks also touched on the productivity of the visit, mentioning several different areas in which our two governments have agreed to collaborate: sports, blue economy, fisheries, vocational training for youth, foreign ministry cooperation, tourism development and cooperation in climate change.
The President also extended his gratitude to President Faure and the Seychellois government for agreeing to progress our collaboration in such a wide range of spheres to the mutual benefit of the denizens of both nations.
