Vice President Faisal Naseem has today visited Hanimaadhoo Island as part of a series of visits started today to several islands located in South Thiladhummathi Atoll.
The Vice President was warmly welcomed by the island's residents upon arrival.
During the visit, the Vice President toured the Hanimaadhoo School and inquired about the challenges and difficulties faced while carrying out school activities. In this regard, the senior management of the school shed light on their needs going forward, including an urgent need to refurbish the school infrastructure which is currently in a state of disrepair, leading to severe flooding issues during torrential seasons.
The Vice President assured the school management that the government is keen on solving all the issues and concerns raised by the school management.
Following the conclusion of this visit, the Vice President is scheduled to travel to H.Dh Kulhudhuffushi Island.
