President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with members of North Huvadhu Atoll Kanduhulhudhoo Council.

At the meeting held at the President’s Office this morning, members of the council briefed the President on the most urgent needs of the Island’s citizen, and the council’s plans for the further developments.

During the meeting, the Councillors highlighted the need to upgrade the island’s harbour, raise income for the council and designate and construct a picnic area and futsal grounds on the island. The Councillors also raised issues and suggested enhancements regarding the status of the Health Centre and road development requirements.

The President stated that the government would take necessary action after discussing with the relevant line ministries and address the specific issues and concerns raised by members of the Kanduhulhudhoo Island Council.
