Vice President Faisal Naseem has visited the first patient to undergo 'Total Knee Replacement Surgery' funded by the Government. The successful surgery was conducted by the talented surgical staff at TreeTop Hospital.
The Vice President checked on the patient's recovery and conveyed his best wishes for a speedy recovery. He also met with the medical team responsible for the surgery and congratulated them on their exceptional work.
This government program is conducted in partnership with Aasandha Private Limited and IGMH. The agreement for this program was signed between TreeTop and Aasandha on 26th June 2019. Medica Hospital also provides surgery and inpatient care for total knee replacement surgery under this program, in order to provide greater diversity of choice and ease of medical services for all citizens. The agreement between Aasandha and Medica was signed a day after the signing with TreeTop, on 27th June 2019.
The 'Total Knee Replacement Surgery' program is one of the many initiatives of this administration aimed at improving and expediting the health services and benefits provided to Maldivian citizens.
