Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the members of Meedhoo Island Council of South Nilandhe Atoll this morning at The President’s Office.

During the meeting, Council members discussed the priorities and concerns raised by the island’s residents, as well as various development projects the council members have proposed for the benefit of their constituents.

Moreover, council members shed light on the most pertinent and urgent need of their residents, including upgrading in the Health Centre, infrastructural developments for the island school, and the need for allocating new land for housing.

The Vice President affirmed that the government would take necessary action after discussing with relevant line ministries to address the specific issues and concerns raised by members of the Meedhoo Island Council.
