President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with members of the Faafu Atoll Council this afternoon.
The meeting was held at the President’s Office where members of the council discussed the most pertinent and urgent issues faced by residents of Faafu Atoll.
The council members highlighted some urgent concerns such as the interruption to the ferry system and the lack of a domestic airport which has led to stunted growth of the tourism industry within the atoll.
The President updated the council members with the latest updates on some of the discussed projects and developments and assured the council members that he would discuss the highlighted concerns with relevant line ministries and officials.
