Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the members of Hirilandhoo Island Council of Kolhumadulu Atoll, this afternoon at the President’s Office.

During the meeting, the Council members briefed the Vice President on some of the pressing issues facing the island and on ongoing development projects, including the need to speed up the land reclamation project, need for BML atm to be installed in the island and to solve the challenges faced to the health sector in the island.

The Vice President noted their concerns and indicated that the government is committed to working together with the relevant ministries in finding a solution and addressing the problems laid out by the council. He further shed light on the role that could be played in shaping the society of the island and instructed the council members to work closely with the people. Moreover, the Vice President reaffirmed the commitment given by this government in working for the benefit of the people.
