Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the President of Kolhufushi Island Council of Mulaku Atoll, Mr. Hussain Shamil, this afternoon at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, the President of the Council briefed the Vice President on some of the pressing issues facing the island, including the need to install road lamps, issue of water sanitation in the island after tsunami, challenges faced by the lack of ferry service in the island and the need to solve the challenges faced to the health sector in the island.
The Vice President noted the concerns and indicated that the government is committed to working together with the relevant ministries in finding a solution and addressing the problems laid out by the President of the Council. Moreover, the Vice President reaffirmed the commitment given by this government in working for the benefit of the people.
