The Maldives Partnership Forum is currently being held at Kurumba Maldives, an ongoing event that will continue from June 17-18. This event, entitled, ‘Investing in a resilient and sustainable Maldives’ is intended as a platform for all of our current and prospective development partners. The forum will discuss ways to collaborate with the Maldives to take its development agenda forward and to fulfil this administration’s vision of ‘Jazeera Raajje’ or Island Nation.

Jointly led by the President’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, the Maldives will be represented at the highest level. His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will deliver opening remarks. Vice President Faisal Naseem and several cabinet Ministers will be present for the duration of this event, which will consist of information sessions on the Government’s key priority areas and shine a light on potential new avenues for partnership.

The sessions will provide an overview of our achievements and future policy initiatives with regard to improving the Maldives’ macroeconomic and fiscal performance; investing in a blue economy; ensuring social outcomes; enhancing good governance, justice and the rule of law; and partnering for development.

This year’s MPF is one of the largest multilateral gatherings to be held in the Maldives in over a decade, signalling the keenness of our administration, and interest from our partners to positively engage in issues of mutual concern under President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration. We welcome our partners to this event and are optimistic that it will yield a beneficial outcome for the Maldivian people.
