On his current visit to Kooddoo and Villingili, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this evening met with members of the Villingili Island Council of North Huvadhu Atoll.
At the meeting held at Villingili Council Office, members of the council shared information on challenges and concerns of the islands community and future development projects planned for the development of the island. In this regard, the Council members emphasized the challenges faced by the Islanders due to the lack of some of the basic necessities and urban resources required for the island.
Moreover, Council members shared information on the planned projects for the social and economic development of the island.
Speaking at the meeting President Solih stated the government would take necessary action after discussing with the line ministries and tackle these problems. President also stated the objective of such meetings with the island councils are to find out the people’s concerns and needs of the community. Furthermore, President Solih stated that this government would work on fulfilling the needs and requirements prioritized by the people.
