President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this afternoon met with members of the Dharanboodhoo Council North Nilandhe Atoll.
At a meeting held at the President’s Office, members of the council shared their concerns and future development projects with the President.
The Councilors especially noted the challenges being faced to the people of the island due to harbor difficulties and also shed light on the challenges being faced due to lack of clean water services and sanitation services in the island. Also, they highlighted that the Island needs government help in establishing a guesthouse friendly environment on the Island.
Speaking in this regard, Council members informed the President on the issues faced because of soil erosion, and also held further discussions on the challenges faced to the council office in carrying out their days today activities.
During the meeting, President Solih stated that the government would take necessary action after discussing with the line ministries and tackle these problems as soon as possible.
