His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed has this morning departed on a State Visit to Sri Lanka, on the invitation of the President of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena and will partake in the 71st Independence Day celebrations of Sri Lanka as the Guest of Honor.
At the Visit the President is scheduled to meet the President of Sri Lanka, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and other senior officials of Sri Lanka government. The President will also meet the Maldivian community residing in Sri Lanka.
