President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with members of the Fuvahmulah City Council. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.
During the meeting, members of the Fuvahmulah City Council briefed President Solih on the current developmental challenges being faced in the City, especially noting the lack of manpower and resources in carrying out the day to day labor in Fuvahmulah City. Members of the city council also emphasized on the importance of human development to create a more capable workforce.
Moreover, members of the Fuvahmulah City Council held further discussions with the President on establishing clean drinking water and sanitation systems, proper electricity services, road development, and a proper waste management system in Fuvahmulah City.
Speaking during the meeting, President Solih stated that a lot of these challenges would be addressed soon, as they are already considered in the next year’s budget. He further urged the council members to continue dialogue and work together with the relevant stakeholders to find long-lasting sustainable solutions.
